Josh and I first met in 8th grade in Mr. Schuyler's Physical Science class. He was a transfer from Holy Family and my initial impression was he looked like a nice guy. A friend and I decided to invite him to a school dance to make him feel welcome. Unfortunately, he declined. It's safe to say that it did not end there. We became good friends all throughout high school and it was not until that one summer day at the park with friends senior year of high school that sparks started sparkling...on my end. I discovered that I had "feelings" for Bubba (Josh's nickname) that day at Adobe Bluffs Park. I initiated an AOL Instant Messaging conversation that night to try to get to know him better. I eventually confessed my feelings to him and we began a relationship beyond friendship. It was a struggle from the start which resulted in break ups and make ups too many to count. On a positive note, it taught us to love one another through all of our differences and many imperfections.
I am forever thankful to have him in my life. He makes me absolutely happy but he can also drive me crazy at the same time. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. I know in my heart that I will have a life filled with love, laughter, and happiness. "I love you...no matter what."
